Florida Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics, Inc. Celebrates Approval of Amended Settlement Agreement in its Medicaid Access Lawsuit Against the State of Florida
TALLAHASSEE — In 2002, under the leadership of then President Dr. Rick Bucciarelli, the Florida Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics, Inc. (FCAAP), decided to sue the State of Florida for failure to assure that children on Florida Medicaid have appropriate access to Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment services.

Each event will feature a discussion about the impact of vaccines on the community, food, activities, and an opportunity for families to receive their COVID and influenza vaccines.
ASPR Schedules Virtual Pediatric Town Hall on Current Surge in Respiratory Viruses
The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), are hosting a combined Regions II and IV Virtual Pediatric Town Hall focused on the current surge in respiratory viruses that is exacerbating the ongoing strain on pediatric health care facilities.

For Giving Tuesday this year, the Florida Pediatric Foundation (FPF), the charitable foundation of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FCAAP), is raising funds to support Florida’s food banks in their Hurricane Ian and Nicole relief efforts through a donation to Feeding Florida.
