Through the continued support of the AAP Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Ambassador Grant Program and as a follow-up to FCAAP’s Hurricane Ready Florida: Promoting Disaster Preparedness for Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs webinar, which was released in the Fall of 2023, FCAAP has produced a new PSA to help families prepare for a natural disaster. With the start of the 2024 hurricane season, now is a great time for pediatricians to remind families to prepare themselves for a natural disaster. The PSA includes details on preparedness considerations for families with children with special healthcare needs.
